Majorca (Part 3)
There wasn't a lot of positives things about the week but the weather was good. Except for one day where there was a massive storm. We were on the beach at the time and suddenly the sun went away. A few minutes later there was a rumble of thunder. Every time there was a flash of (fork) lightening I somehow managed to miss it. I was gazing at the sky almost constantly and every fucking time I looked away someone would gasp that I had missed it again. When we left the beach we went into a restaurant and a small while later the rain started. The restaurant was getting flooded. The waiters moved all the tables, chairs and electrical equipment My feet (along with many others) got soaked. I was shocked when I looked out the window and saw hail-stones hitting the ground. So yeah, that was about the biggest excitement of the holiday.
The shops in the resort were shit to say the least. I, for the first time ever, arrived home with most of my spending money. I bought a few t-shirts and a mechanical hand thing and that was it.
We were going to maybe go on an excursion or two. Possibly to Palma or these cave things that a lot of people talk about. But no, we didn't as it was too expensive.
On the way home I was hoping to spend some of my money in the duty free but we arrived at the airport late and didn't have time. I wanted to buy a cute stuffed fish and now I really wish I had even though I'd have missed the flight.
So that's it. My 2005 holiday to Majorca. I've just got to pray that I'll never be there again.
If your attention didn't wander then thanks for reading.
